I know I’m not alone when I say the last weeks have been tough. Life in the state of Ohio is constantly in flux with new safety regulations. Luckily, I’m still in a position where my workplace is creating opportunities for me to come in and make money. Other businesses don’t have that luxury.

With Governor DeWine closing all dine-in restaurant experiences last night, I’ve been thinking about all of the effected businesses. Our city relies on those small, local businesses and they rely on us. We, as a city, owe it to our community to still support them. With that in mind, I want to highlight some ways we can do just that.

There are several businesses that are rolling out (or already have) delivery and takeout options. I’ve highlighted some of those with egg free options below!

The North Market

I’ve made no secret of my love for this amazing place! Between places like Destination Donuts and Momo Ghar, there are so many amazing egg free options at the North Market. The Omega Bakery has incredibly tasty bread and even some egg free pastries!

While their dining areas are closed, the vendors are still encouraged to stay open for carry out orders. Several of them also offer delivery options. What’s fantastic about the North Market is that, in one quick visit, you can support several of Columbus’s finest small businesses.

Wolf’s Ridge Brewery

If you’re at home self-quarantining, you might find yourself wanting a beer. With bars closing all over town, you may even wish that beer could be delivered!

Well my friends, I’m excited to announce that beer delivery is possible!

With their taproom and dining room closed to the public, a lot of hourly workers and employees dependent on tips were going to be without income. Wolf’s Ridge created this beer delivery program to help keep that from happening. It is incredibly honorably and thoughtful. I want to encourage supporting businesses that take care of their people. Their taproom menu is also available for carry out. You can call ahead or order on site!

Lemongrass Fusion Bistro

I’ve written before about the amazing egg free options at Lemongrass Fusion Bistro. They have some of my very favorite sushi in the entire city of Columbus! Not only are they participating in delivery via DoorDash and Uber Eats, but they are also open for carry out.

Literally Call All of Your Favorites

With things changing in what seem like hourly increments you should call your favorite local restaurant and see how best to support them. Many will suggest buying a gift card if they aren’t currently open in any capacity. Honorable mentions include Pierogi Mountain (open at least through 3/23) and Mikey’s Late Night Slice.

Happy eating! Stay safe 🙂
